Chapter 415: Ch
Chapter 415: Ch
"It is made up of superior Tier 3 alloys and multiple top-tier systems!! Those give the Indigo the ability to fight any ship of the same tier, and even against quasi-Tier 4 ships, it can still perform exceptionally well and hold its ground!!"
"Built around the Tier 3 peak weapon system, the Crust Break Cannon. Just like the name suggests, these weapons are capable of destroying continents by themselves. And 24 such weapons are installed within the Indigo-class ship!!"
Saying that, she snapped her fingure and a holographic screen appeared which showed footage of an unknown place filled with asteroids, where one could see the dreadnought Indigo moving through space.
As the main weapon systems installed along the dorsal side of the Indigo, arranged in groups of four at each section, began to glow simultaneously, powerful blood-red energy lances were launched from their massive barrels, striking a moon-sized asteroid facing the Indigo.
With a massive BOOOOOOMMM!! A raging cloud of fire spread across the surface of the planet-sized asteroid. Once the flames finally calmed down, a massive chunk of the asteroid’s surface was simply gone.
In its place remained a 2 to 5 km deep crater with a diameter of nearly 120 km. Seeing that, the others gasped at the terrifying power of those weapons.
Luna, not stopping there, continued introducing the other specifications of the dreadnought to the group, not minding their gasps of astonishment at all.
"Following them are multiple other secondary weapon systems. While they might not match the power of the Crust Break Cannon, they easily outperform the main weapons of any other ship of this class."
This time, she simply manifested the design schematics of the secondary model, without producing any demonstration for the group, and continued on.
"Following the secondary weapon systems are the point defence and missile systems. And let me tell you, these point defence systems come in different kinds, integrated with our inbuilt core system called Aegis, which provides these systems the capability to fully utilise the monitoring and targeting systems to neutralise any threat that dares get close to the Indigo.
Be it mechs, starfighters, or enemy weapon system attacks, they can neutralise them all with more than an eighty-five percent neutralisation rate."
As she talked about these systems, the holographic display flickered. The schematics of the secondary systems disappeared, and around them appeared footage of a battle where one could see the dreadnought Indigo engaged in combat, while a large number of mechs and starfighters closed in on it.
While from far behind, one could see a small fleet of around 50 to 80 ships providing intense cover fire for the mechs and starfighters.
And yet, the more they tried to get near the Indigo, the more brutally they were wiped out, as thousands upon thousands of integrated point-defense systems moved simultaneously, shooting down the mechs and starfighters with ease.
While also neutralizing the attacks launched by the fleet far behind them. These point-defense systems, specifically the burst-fire type and rapid-fire type, seemed as if they could predict incoming attacks, launching their fire directly into the path of enemy projectiles and easily neutralizing them.
Their interception rate even reached 87 percent. And the few attacks that managed to land on the Indigo barely dented the ship’s outer armor, causing no major damage at all.
As she finished recounting the performance of the point-defense weapon systems and the benefits brought by the integrated system arrays, the footage also came to an end.
At the same time, with great poise and confidence, she said. " And like that they Provide indigo a full 360-degree cover, making the Indigo not only powerful in offensive and passing strength equal to a small legion by itself, but also able to defend itself through these systems."
"Hiss..." the Azura Imperium people, led by Prince Kronos, hissed upon hearing the specifications!!
Some even doubted they had heard wrong and cleaned their ears to listen more clearly, only to be dumbfounded by what they heard next!!
Luna, not minding them at all, continued explaining the specifications of the Indigo-class dreadnought!!
"Not only that!! Giving another layer of protection to the Indigo is its four-layered shield system!! Also a peak Tier 3 technology... these shields are easily able to withstand planetary-grade weapon systems, capital-grade systems, and whatnot!!
To give you all some perspective on it!! Even against a fleet of 100 ships, or even 150, all of them being Tier 4, this shield allows the Indigo to take their attacks head-on without retaliating and still continue standing for more than 12 hours!!"
"Impossible!!" One person, who could not hear any more or felt his knowledge being challenged, immediately spoke up!!
"Ohh? What is impossible that you cannot understand, gentleman?" said Luna without changing her expression as she looked at the elderly Azura man.
Seeing the human in front of him, he did not get angry and instead said, "I mean no disrespect to you or to your captain for developing these technologies. But are you, by any chance, mixing specifications of Tier 4-level technologies with those of Tier 3 while explaining this to us? Because the specifications you have explained surpass Tier 3 technology and step into Tier 4, or quasi-Tier 4, levels!!"
"Haha!! No disrespect taken from you!!" Luna said with a smile before shaking her head in rejection. "But what I speak is what I mean!! The specifications I talk about are indeed classified as Tier 3 level by our fleet and higher-ups!!"
"After all, these are not some patched-up Tier 3 technologies, but fully matured ones!! Technologies that, with only a few tweaks and changes in materials and core principles, could step beyond Tier 3 entirely!!
And from there comes the strength that makes you all feel that this is, in fact, a Tier 4 technology!!" Luna casually said before continuing,
"And tell me, gentlemen... are there such good deals anywhere else in the galaxy? Where someone gives you Tier 4-level technology at the cost of Tier 3? No, right?"
"It is simply because our technology is far superior to anyone else’s!! And that is what makes you all say such words!!" she spoke, a giant smirk tugging at her lips.
"But once again, I assure you... this is indeed Tier 3 technology. Just as I spoke of earlier, and just like the deal our two powers struck with each other with no exaggeration."
"Now, is there any problem?" Luna asked the man who had raised the question earlier.
At this time, his eyes were still locked onto the data displayed before him, and he had almost not heard her words at all.
Kronos, who was seated beside him, knocked lightly on his hand. Only then was the elder able to come out of his reverie.
"Ah... y-yes, yes, Lady Luna!! Please forgive my earlier interruption!! It was impolite of me to say such things without properly knowing!!"
"Now, now, Mister, you do not have to speak like that," Luna waved her hand and said with a smile. "You were curious about it, so you asked. I simply took it as curiosity and explained it, for that is my job."
"Y-yes... that was all, merely curiosity," the elder man said with a bitter smile.
"Okay then, shall we continue now?"
"Yes, please!!" Kronos and the others immediately replied.
"Powering this massive behemoth is a capital-grade Dark Crystal Fusion Generator!! Which is something that you all had specifically requested..."
Saying that, Luna explained a few things about the generator, along with parts of its principles and power-generation process.
"During this fusion process, this reactor creates Hyper-type alloys," she said casually.
(Basically, a material or alloy capable of housing mana within itself, thus granting it unique properties.)
"Which is yet another advantage of having this kind of power source."
Her casual explanation once again dumbfounded the Azura people.
"Now then, that is all regarding the critical schematics of this ship! The rest, you can all find within the documentation we will provide you. As for the remaining details... you will have to explore them yourselves," she said while looking toward Kronos.
Seeing her gaze, Kronos nodded his head and replied, "That is only natural."
"Good. Now then, let us move on to the next thing."
Saying that, she took them toward another hangar where numerous ships stood lined up.
The largest among them were nearly four kilometres long, while the smallest were around eight hundred metres in length.
There were battlecruisers, battleships, destroyers, and frigate-class ships, numbering close to three hundred altogether.
Luna spoke about them a little, though not too deeply. Yet even that was more than enough to stun and dumbfound the Azuras once again.
Their knowledge and understanding of technology were being challenged and obliterated quite literally.
So much so that many of their heads buzzed endlessly, while others felt genuine terror rising within them.
"What the hell...?"
"How can we possibly stand supreme over them?"
"Their technology is basically one entire tier above ours... damn..."
