Roman glanced through his system, and his eyes landed on his stats. He looked at it twice just to be sure; he got a 350 increase in both his stats and spell power.

He had no idea who gave him mana or spell power but for now it didn’t matter much, just these two were enough to make him stronger.

Roman couldn’t train his strength, reflexes, and stamina, but his mana and spell power would always be behind, with this he could properly cut years of training.

Evelyn and Victoria were asleep on the bed, smiles still visible on their face like they were dreaming about him. Roman wore his underwear and sat in a smaller chair since Sonia occupied the bigger couch, and again he stared at the system.

’Now I just have to figure out a way to connect with the founder. If I can communicate with him, I’m sure he’ll be happy to teach me better spells than the available ones, I just have to figure out how to reach him’

’I’m pretty tired, but I’m not planning to sleep, and wait what if Sonia wakes up? Evelyn and Victoria are asleep’

Roman walked towards the door to check if there were guards outside but he reached out to touch the door and was blocked by an invisible force.

’Since that’s covered, I should probably get some sleep’

Roman walked towards the bed, which was occupied by Evelyn and Victoria but he found a small part and lay down. It felt like his eyes were suddenly so heavy he couldn’t keep them open anymore.

Roman gasped as his eyes jolted open, his heart was pounding in his chest and he was disoriented. He quickly looked around to know where he was but he was shocked to find himself in a forest.

Tall trees littered the area, their thick trunks rising high into the sky, with branches that spread out like a green roof, allowing tiny rays of sunlight to reach the ground.

The forest floor was covered in soft grass, fallen and dried leaves, and patches of moss.

Roman stood up trying to remember how he came here. He knew something wasn’t right but he couldn’t put his hands around it, until he heard a voice and turned around.

"Finally..." A voice spoke and Roman turned around to see the founder of magic staring at him with a smile.

’This is a dream, that’s right I fell asleep’ Roman mumbled inwardly.

"It isn’t a dream"

"You can hear my thoughts?"

"Is that surprising? You’re supposed to be the reincarnation of me, and hearing your thoughts isn’t the only thing I can do, have a sit" He spoke and pointed behind Roman.

Roman turned around and found a chair waiting and as he sat down, the entire scenery changed; they were now across from each other in a small room separated by a table.

The room had no doors and was fully enclosed with blue crystals floating above, giving light to the entire room.

"What questions do you have? It seems we have a lot of time"

’What do I ask, and he just said we have time, how much...’ Roman looked at the founder to see him smiling and then he remembered he could read his thoughts.

"Since you have so many questions, maybe I should start with what happened at the Demon Queen’s Castle"

"The demon queen is an anomaly in this world, she isn’t supposed to exist, and no spell or magic is strong enough to kill her. I suspect she’s immortal," The founder spoke.

"What the fuck? She’s immortal...so I was sent to complete an impossible task, wait...you suspect or you confirmed it?" Roman asked.

"It’s simply a suspicion for now, but I tried everything, you can’t fathom the amount of power she wields. She alone can destroy the entire world if she wishes, but rather than coming herself, she sends an army. There’s something I think about that"

"What is it?" Roman asked.

"I don’t think she can leave Vernhall" The founder replied.

Roman was surprised, but then he thought about it. If the demon queen was really as strong as the founder says she is, strong enough that the best human mage could only manage to seal her with a lot of sacrifice, then why hasn’t she conquered the entire world?

If she has that kind of power, world conquest is just a small step, especially during a time when there were few mages in the world.
