Chapter 1108: What Did You Do to Me?

Chapter 1108: What Did You Do to Me?

Summer Sutton’s skirt was thin, brushing lightly against her thighs as she walked, creating a scene that stirred up some heat in Watt Bennet.

It was already hot in the summer, and the kitchen had no air conditioning, so after Watt came in and stayed for a while, he felt even hotter.

Summer was still washing fruit, and Watt stared at her until, suddenly, he embraced her from behind.

With just a slight pull, Summer’s body stiffened and she fell onto his lap.

"Tell me, what kind of spell have you put on me?" His face leaned close to hers, his voice hoarse as he whispered by her ear.

Summer rolled her eyes.

What did this have to do with her?

It was his own lack of self-control.

In the summer, it got dark late. At around five o’clock, it was still bright outside, and anyone walking by the villa garden might see everything in the kitchen.

Summer was afraid of him in these past few days, worried he’d try something right in the kitchen, so she stood up quickly and pushed him, "Get out! Get out! I’ll handle it myself."

Watt was helpless.

He hadn’t even started doing anything yet!

Summer didn’t care about any of that and forcibly pushed him out.

Although she had many grievances against Watt, she still prepared a rich dinner.

Ever since she came back from M Country, it was the first proper meal she was having with him!

She had carefully prepared a table full of homely dishes, and Summer was the first to sit at the dining table.

Watt followed her into the dining room, his first sight landing on the dishes on the table.

He was quite self-aware, knowing Summer had been dissatisfied with him recently, and he was afraid she would prepare meals only for herself, like before.

It seemed like he was afraid Summer would say something like that the next second, so he quickly pulled out a chair and sat down, picking up his chopsticks to eat his share.

Watt ate this meal quickly, finishing most of the food on the table in just a few bites.

Summer watched him, gave a cold smile.

If he continued coming home late at night, she wouldn’t even leave him a grain of rice in the house, let alone meals!

After the dinner, both carrying mixed feelings, they finished eating and went back to their room, with Watt heading to the bathroom.

Summer followed him in, constantly watching him.

She actually wanted to wait for him to finish showering so she could help him apply some ointment, but clearly, Watt misunderstood her intention.

With a sidelong glance at her, Watt raised an eyebrow, "Want to join?"

"You’re overthinking," Summer threw back a comment, leaning against the door waiting for him.

"Babe, if you don’t plan on joining, don’t look at me like that. You know my self-control," Watt casually reminded her.

"Hurry up and shower!" Summer gave him a push and turned to leave the bathroom.

Sitting down on the sofa, she waited for Watt for a while.

Listening to the sound of water inside, Summer suddenly felt a bit nervous.

What if the medicine Alexander Winslow researched didn’t work, what would they do?

Watt came out ten minutes later.

Walking out, he was drying the water in his hair.

Summer took the towel from his hand and pushed him to sit on the sofa, "Let me help you."

She quickly helped him dry his hair, then put the towel aside before sitting down close to him.

"I got some ointment from a friend who studies medicine recently. It’s supposed to be very effective for leg injuries, let’s give it a try!"

Regardless of his consent, Summer started rolling up Watt’s pant leg.

Watt seemed to have lost faith in any medication, furrowing his brows.

"No need." He pressed down on her hand, stopping her movement.
